Our projects

Our action today and our impact over the years.

The Dave Schultz Sports, Arts and Wellness Center

This center is a sanctuary, where communities can step out of the daily stress of the refugee camp into a peaceful physical space, free to cultivate mind and body.

COVID Health Clinic

When the pandemic broke out, we quickly mobilized to help stand up  COVID-19 isolation and treatment clinic in 6 weeks. We partnered with a prominent medical NGO to ensure people at the Moria refugee camp would be able to receive care if they fell ill.

Pandemic response

WWBT worked with Team Humanity Denmark to supply every person in the Moria refugee camp with a mask and hand sanitizer. The masks were manufactured by Team Humanity's refugee volunteer team right next to the camp.

The Hope and Peace Center

The Hope & Peace Center is a women and children's safe space across from Moria refugee camp where children can run happy and free while the mothers relax nearby. WWBT supporters provided significant funding for the center's operations throughout 2019.

Homes with Dignity

WWBT ensured residents at the Kara Tepe refugee camp could feel a level of comfort and dignity at their temporary homes by purchasing new mattresses, sleeping bags, pillows and sheets. All aid provided is purchased in Lesvos to help support the battered local economy.

Other Projects

WWBT has launched sewing programs, built BBQ pits, started gardening programs, and supported many other small projects since our inception in 2016. In all of its work, WWBT always puts an emphasis on dignity and empowerment.
